Actually, the knowledgeable individuals in the mobile section can do all of that for you. They can setup the phone on your account, transfer your data, show you how to use it, etc. I used to work in that department some years ago and that was all expected of us with any new activation regardless if it was a new Verzion customer or an existing one just upgrading. If you buy the device outright (at the retail price) and prefer to go to Verizon instead, you can also go that route, but I believe if you want to setup the device payments, it has to be activated at Best Buy. That being said, once it's activated, you can choose to go to Verizon to have your data transferred if you prefer although I think they typically charge for that and Best Buy does not.
