“Does Samsung have any phones that use GSM rather than CDMA? I want a phone I can use in Europe? I had wanted to order the Samsung8+ but I would not be able to use it there.”

Verizon Phones are only CDMA locked to verizon, (I.E. no sprint service) but are GSM unlocked. the cell chip they use have both GSM and CDMA capabilities. You can use this in Europe as long as you get the SIM from a qualifying service while there.

If you preorder the unlocked version you can use it with either CDMA and GSM . I've heard preorder for the unlocked version will be in in about 3 weeks.
