Yes, I am a Verizon customer as well and they don't care if you pay your phone of early, as long as you pay it off. They love it when you put yourself in a position to upgrade and start the process all over again. Plus, they still have you for the service and the $20 per phone/line fee (at least they've got me because I'm on a family plan).
