“I am on the edge plan and have met the 75% payment to be able to trade in for a new phone. How do I go about pre ordering? Each time I try it asks me to pay the remaining balance for my phone before completing the order. How do I get around this issue?”

I would suggest going to a physical store that way your question could be better assisted. If you want to preorder at BB and are unable too, then I would call verizon while there.
