Yes, you can. I bought the phone from BB and they activated it to my Verizon acct. with no changes being made to my current plan. Verizon will charge you the $30 upgrade fee if you are upgrading, but they charge that even if you buy the phone from them.

But if you have a very old plan it may not be compatible with your new phone. If you have a newer plan it will not change unless you want it changed. Hope this helps.
