Hi there Km, thanks for taking the time to ask us your question about the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. Possibly. The SmartTag2 utilizes the SmartThings Find network which consists of many other "findable" Galaxy devices that work as beacons by sending out signals. Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag 2 last transmitted its signal. Other Galaxy users that are participating in the SmartThings Find network help with updating your SmartTag2's location within the app. Hope that helps! Please do not hesitate to contact Support if you think of any other questions for us. Thanks for being a loyal Samsung customer. - Debra
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need a tag with gps there are 2 or 3 pretty good ones out there. Unfortunately noone's going to be able to come in proximity (400ft MAX) to the tag out there. Also needs to be samsung and they have to be sharing data. If you send a phone with the tag, you could track it, but then you dont need the tag because the phone has gps...
