You can put it in "lost mode" to get a msg when it's found. Only you/the tag owner(s) can see the item's location. It's quite secure. If you attempt to follow or stalk someone with the tracker, it will alert them (on either iOS or Android). The message is quite alarming and will say that a tag has been following you/your route (and you can report/disable it for safety).

You can Switch on Search Nearby and get guided instructions to your item's location via Compass View. If you still don't see it, just ring your Galaxy SmartTag2 to have it send out an audible signal. The SmartTag2 requires Samsung Galaxy smartphones or tablets running Android 11.0 or later with 3GB or more of free RAM (Galaxy Note20 Ultra, S21+ and Ultra, S22+ and Ultra, S23+ and Ultra, Z Fold2 and up) Galaxy Note20 Ultra, S21+ and Ultra, S22+ and Ultra, S23+ and Ultra, Z Fold2 and up). Also, Samsung Account log-in and registration on SmartThings Find app is required. Let us know if you have any other questions for us by reaching out to Samsung Support at your leisure.
