It tracks as far as it goes. The farthest i been 100 miles from it. But it only work if there a same brand phone near by with Bluetooth. Bluetooth is the answer. Ex. I have a Samsung phone so any body that close by that has a Samsung phone with their Bluetooth on it will let you know the location of device, if there noone there you will not get a reading. I have them hiding in my vehicle.

It can track anywhere in the world as long as Samsung phones/devices are nearby and opted into the Smartthings Find Network (quite common). You should have no problem with keeping track of your loved one. Make sure to let them know about it since they will be notified that a tag is following them.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can track It everywhere in the world as long there is another Samsung phone nearby with Bluetooth on. Last year I went to Gambia, África, and my suitcase went from Spain to Paris. Thanks to the smart tag I knew all the time where It was and the fly company didn't warn me about its location. Neither when It arrived at the Banjul airport, I only knew It because of the tag and so I recovered my suitcase.
