• Yes, your external should have usb port. Plug in unit run software. Just like plugging into pc for itunes or doftware upgrades.

• No, you can't connect an external hard drive to this phone. You can't install windows software to an android phone.

• Yes, the device plug and plays most hard drives, I was able to copy some of my music over, but if you experience any issues synchronizing, your best bet will be, adding files to your SD card though a computer before reinstalling onto your device
