• There's a huge difference between a SIM card and SD. SIM cards are used for a mobile network to use as a phone which is my question as well...SD cards hold external memory. So can you use this tab as a phone? "Phablet "

• Yes it has an sd card. Got mine with a promotion with a 32gb card

• My Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 definitely has a SIM card lot. I have a 32 GB card in it, and I have it rooted so that I can install apps on the card.
