• Yes, it's an excellent device for reading books. You can use the touch screen to enlarge or shrink the font/page size, and swipe to turn pages. I have AmazonPrime and downloading books is easy and doesn't take very long.

• Yes, I read books in this tablet with no problem. There are a lot of free books you can get. Check google and sign up for a couple.

• Absolutely! I read e-books from Amazon on this tablet perfectly. If you really want to use the device for reading, I suggest you in getting the Nook device from Barnes&Noble. It is exactly the same device as this one but configured for reading. It also, has the latest OS update from Samsung so it should be a better option. However, check the price between the Nook device and this one before deciding. They should be about the same since the only difference between the devices is the OS.
