Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe it would be a good buy for a child that's blind. Because it's a touch screen (as opposed to key pad with raised buttons) , think it would be very difficult your child open and use apps. Because he/she may have difficulty figuring out where the apps are on the screen and how to properly use them, due to the fact that the tablet is a flat touch screen with no raised symbols (except for the home button). If you plan on buying this tablet, I would 1st do some research and see if there are any special apps or modified key pads or tablet cases that could be used with this tablet for a special needs child.
