On the Tab A, you can add a MicroSD card - I added 64GB, and it's wonderful. I'm not sure if it increases power at all, but it absolutely increases storage!

I have a 64 gig card in mine and it is all i really need. take note though that not all apps can be transferred to the sd card, and need to remain on the tablet to work. that being said using it for music videos and files such as spread sheets and the like it is perfect. I think you can add up to a 128 gig micro sd for expansion
