Yes, it works just like the note. I purchased this to replace my old note 10.1 and its been great. Everything works the same.

Yes, the S-pen is capable of that in both the one-note application and s-note app. You can also write in all caps or a combination and as it converts it to text generally fixes any grammatical errors. It takes a minute to get used to but works well once you have it down.

I haven't used a Samsung note, but this one does recognize handwriting. Even my sloppy handwriting it can decipher.

The pen that comes with the Samsung 3, which I have - will it work on the 9.7 tablet or does one come with it. If you have to carry one around that might be a problem. Does a stylist work with it?
