We weren't actually shopping for a tablet, but decided to walk through BB. The promotion to trade-in (an up) from the old tablet to the newest mid-level tab from Samsung was too good to pass up. It was good enough that my mom decided she didn't want to move from a 7" to an 8", but up to the 9.7". So with the promotion, spent $200 for her to get this new tab. Screen size is good. The case is streamlined, but tablet seemed a little heavier than I'd anticipated. Also wasn't happy they only had 2 colors. While 50% off was a nice incentive, with after-market cases for significantly less, it was a hard sell for the Samsung case in either black/granite or blue. The inclusion of the MS Office products was the defining point and convinced me to trade in another old tablet for a 9.7" TAB A for myself. We've only had this tablet for a short time, but so far, we've been enjoying it. Pros: Good size, especially for older users; MS Office for productivity Cons: A little heavy for reading with one hand, especially with Samsung case installed; color options for the accessories available are severely lacking.

This 9.7" size is a very good compromise between a cell phone and a lap top, including the price aspect. For the price it is a worthy possession.

So far this has been the best tablet that I have bought, it has so far everything that I want in it, It'so easy to use, fun and productive, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I would recommend this tablet to everyone. Sincerely; Johnny Colòn

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 16GB with S-Pen is a fantastic introductory tablet for college students, especially if they are pursuing an art degree. The Wacom digitizer and stylus (S-Pen) are wondrous tools for note taking and digital art. It allows for having a digital notebook and sketchbook all in one leading to better organization, financial savings in the long run, and over all convince. With the multiple user profiles that Android allows users to have they can easily keep their personal and collegiate areas separate in order to aid in studying and overall productiveness while giving for a personal location for media consumption and other personal needs. This device is also cheaper than its competitors’ introductory devices. This lower price combined with better performance for this range of device – the lower, introductory end of tablets with built in styli – makes this tablet a definite contender for college students, and a must by for art students.

Talked with Best Buy reps as well as the on-site Samsung rep as to what my husband uses his tablet for and based on that information a couple of options were presented to me so I could make a decision. Recommendations were extremely helpful. My husband really likes the upgrades he now has and it was just the right tablet for him.

It is my first tablet. It will be great to learn how to use it. A new experience for my 65th birthday..

The only PROBLEM I have with this tablet is that it DOES NOT have a built in flash for the camera. I was out of town 4th of July weekend and I tried to take pictures at NIGHT! NO LUCK! Why have a camera with NO FLASH????? I would recommend this product to someone that doesn't plan to use the device camera at NIGHT!

I bought this tablet to use with a map data program that involves tracking routes and creating detailed plans. The display shows nice crisp satellite map imagery, and the processor loads the program quickly. The GPS associated with the tablet works better than my Garmin GPS! I was even getting signals inside buildings!

Beautiful design an the smoky blue color is so cool. It's fast and it's great to normal use read the news, to game, but the resolution must will be 1080P. But I'm so happy whit my tablet

Purchased as a replacement for a nook HD+ 9. Although the speed is better on the Samsung, the graphics are about the same. As an e-reader, it works, but you have to zoom in a tad to bring everything into focus. This is something the nook did in its own. Functionality is better than my nook, both had the google play store, but the Amazon prime video app wouldn't run on the nook, but it runs fine on the Samsung. The additional benefit of charging with the micro USB is a huge plus! Also, I can use a micro USB to female standard USB and I can plug in a USB storage device. I have a Logitech BT keyboard case on mine now and it complete this! I couldn't be happier!

I like my tablet for Facebook, emails, pictures, some games. Nice size to look at videos.

Tablet has a fast processor, apps friendly, and cool.

Seamlessly transfered data from my Tab III. The size is great for email, games, social accounts, videos and surfing. Also used for banking.

Their's no flash on the tablet when taking pictures. I never knew that and I'm disappointed about that. I need flash for night photo's

I had an iPad 2, I thought it was the best, but it did not work for my work as a technician. It was good to read and play some games, that was all. Now with my Galaxy Tab A I can also read and play games, many more. But besides I have the applications that I need for my work, like signal analysis, WiFi analysis, the network and much more. And these applications are complete, even better than those on PC / desktop.

This was for my husband . It replaces the one he got at Verizon as "free" when we bought new phones about 2 1/2 years ago at Verizon. The "catch" was we were to pay $10 a month for 2 years for them. I hated mine and my husband used his. Anyway, he loves his new one (Merry Christmas dear) and there is no contract.

My Samsung Table has been a great tool in my business and I would recommend it as a worth wide purchase for any business.

Really easy to use tablet. I mostly use it to browse the Internet. Like a cell phone with no calling feature.

Easy to learn since I have always had Samusng phones. Love that is an extension of my phone.
