“Are special earphones required I have plugged in my ear buds and the tab tells me earphones connectd, however no volume comes out of them volume still comes out of tablet speakers. Wondering if I need a special pair”

• The earphones you have may not be compatible. I use a pair of Skullcandy ear buds just fine.

• I use the same earbuds I have used in my Galaxy S4 and my old Apple products, never any problems. I would try a different pair, maybe there is an issue with the earbuds.

• This happened to me the first time...no you don't...try restarting your tablet and then plugging the headphones in. That's what I did and I don't have that problem anymore

• No I don't think so. You just need to make sure - you push it in until it clicks :)
