“What is the best audio format to store music to get the best playback quality? I am dumping iTunes now that I purchased a Galaxy Tab S2. I have purchased a couple SD cards as well and plan to store all of my music and videos on them. Everything will also be backed-up on my desktop, which I also listen to music and watch videos on. I am an audiophile and like the best sound experience. I will also be purchasing a high quality headphones. What audio formats do you store your music on to get the best playback quality versus compression ratio? Lastly, what headphones would you recommend? Thanks for your feedback!”

TheRoots, FLAC is lossless, but takes up a significant(!) amount of space. You might do MP3 at 320 to get decent quality and save a lot of memory. We offer a few headphones offerings, but check online. There are lots of great options out there. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S

Of course, MP3 is what you get when you purchase online from Amazon where I buy most of my music. However, I've read that FLAC, which I'd never heard of until I read about it, is the best. I don't know anything about FLAC in terms of usage. Unfortunately, I don't think my ears can tell the difference. I've got a pair of Bose earbuds which I use for my phone, too. I love them. I used them with this tablet and the music sounded great.
