I don't have an cell service on my tablet. I do have the mobile hotspot service on my phone. So when I am away from home, I turn on my hotspot service on my phone and connect my tablet to it, via Wi-Fi. Check with Metro PCS and your model phone to see if they can support Mobile hotspot service.

Or you can do what we did back before mobile hotspots were a thing and connect your phone to the tablet through a USB cord to use the internet from your phone on the tablet that way!

A better option would probably be to get Metro's unlimited data plan & I think that includes 10GB of high speed tethering. So you could just use your phone as a wifi hot spot.
