Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I loaded the free version of Microsoft Excel and Word and both work very well on this machine. The only issue seems to be that there's certain key functions that are omitted from the "free" product; however, for most uses it seems quite adequate. One glitch seems that I can't write anything to the SD drive which is probably a limitation of the free version. Microsoft wants you to push everything out to the cloud. I guess that way, when you exceed your storage limit they can make up for the free software by charging extra for cloud storage. The cloud storage is actually a good thing since I can also put Excel on my Samsung j7 Sky phone and access the Excel data that was created on the tablet. Excel actually even runs ok on the phone; however, the controls are a little different and even simpler on the phone.
