Does this work well as a laptop? null

You'll need the keyboard cover for that kind of functionality. It's an expensive add-on.

The DEX mode gives you a windows like interface, however, you can't run Windows programs as you can with a laptop.

For me, the optional keyboard is too small to use for a long time as a laptop. You'd also need to see if the software you'd want to use is available. This is an android tablet. It does come with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point but you need to enter your MS 360 account information to use them. I think there are better options for tablets.

I don't use it as a laptop. I have a Surface Pro and I use it as a laptop. The Tab S4 is wonderful but I have many programs that don't run on Android.
