No ther is no built-in stand. A case or some other external item would be needed to stand it up. Considering how incredibly thin it is already, having a stand built-in would make the tablet a good deal thicker. Just for a bit of some kind of reference, look at how insanely thin your cell phone is, well somehow, this tablet is thinner.
