“Can this device be used as a stand alone phone replacement?”

• Unfortunately not it has the capability to be paired with another samsung phone, but u have to be under the same Wifi network. So if my phone is in another room I can get notifications on my tablet.

• The answer is no. I bought the device after Samsung said yes you can but you can't. It requires another phone on the same wifi.

• I suppose you could use it as a phone replacement, but it's size would make it inconvenient to carry everywhere as a phone.
