• The keyboard is not detachable from the rest of the cover but the cover attaches magnetically so vert easy to attach and remove

• The slim style keyboard case is all one piece so to detachable it is to remove the whole case. The case with the trackpad comes on two pieces which allows you to remove only the keyboard. But honestly for the price these cases don't offer much protection.

• The whole case comes off but if you want to use the keyboard it needs to make a connection on the bottom of the tablet. So you would not be able to use it away from the tablet. Hope that helps.
