"Unlocked" means that the cellular capability of this watch (LTE) is not limited to a specific cell service provider. Some cell providers "lock" a watch or a phone to their specific service, to incentivize you to stay with them, usually in exchange for a discount on the price of the device. This watch will work with most any cell service provider. That being said... check on the details of your cell plan to see if they charge a monthly fee for adding an LTE watch. You want to be sure you know that before setting up the watch. My plan allows my LTE service to be shared by the watch without additional charge; I'd have thought twice about an LTE watch if I had to pay an extra $5 or $10 a month for using it on my cell plan. Actually, I'd probably have switched to a different cell service rather than paying an extra fee. Hope that helps!
