Q: QuestionI was diagnosed with AFIB and am looking for a watch to alert me to irregular heartrates. How does the watch alert you? Just a flag on the screen? An audible alert? A text to my samsung A32? Thanks!
Asked by EricinSaline.
- A:Answer It will be an alert across your watch face if it detects an irregular heartrate, with a prompt to take a ECG. There is a built-in ECG that you can use at any point to manually check your heart rhythm, but the problem I do have with the automatic alert is that it isn't checking 24/7 for arrhythmias, but it just picks a few different intervals throughout the day to test you, and if you have an arrhythmia during the time, it'll tell you. So in that sense, the built-in alerts aren't super reliable. Its a really great watch for confirming arrhythmias with the built-in ECG, but its a little iffy if you're specifically looking for passive monitoring.
