Hello Nita, thanks for asking us your question about the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. The main difference is that a Galaxy Watch8 GPS/Bluetooth model needs your phone nearby for calls, texts, and streaming, acting as a fitness tracker when alone, while the GPS + LTE model has an eSIM, allowing it to function independently to make calls, get messages, and stream music/apps directly from your carrier's network without your phone. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Support. Thanks for being a staunch Samsung customer. - Debra
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The cellular feature allows the watch to work as a cell phone if the cell phone isn't connected to the watch. U will have to subscribe with ur cell service provider. Usually 5-10$ per month. If the phone is connected to the watch or in range all calls will be received on the phone.
