Yes it will and will even most likely crack and break. Mine just broke 11 months in. Everything was fine opened it today heard a crunching sound and looked down to see a big black streak down the fold.

I had the 3 when it first came out. I had like 4 payments left before the inside screen went. But only after i took off the factory plastic it came with. Traded it in and got 1k off the fold 5. As long as they make these I'll keep getting them.

I've had mine for about 4 months and the bookend bend hasn't changed, bubbled, lined, or separated in any form, it looks as it did when I bought it.
