• I have the 5 Active and they work perfectly together (syncing after exercise).

• It should as it connets via bluetooth and uses the Gear Fit manager found in the Play store. I have an S5 and I also have all this built in and it works great

• Mine syncs beautifully with my S5 - I read that it wouldn't do a good job somewhere - glad they were wrong.

• Yes it does. You Active software will sync with the gear when they are within range of each other and if they are not then they will sync at a later time when they are brought back within range.
