A:Answer Yes. It has it's own GPS, so you can start and activity and it will track your route even if the phone is not on you. However, since it doesn't have the option to connect to data on it's own, you want have the map on the watch only a line for the route. once it connects to the phone (after coming back from the exercise), it will sync with the phone and add the map to your route like you did the exercise with the phone on you. Plus you can put music on it and use Bluetooth headphones, so you don't need the phone for your music.
