• What does ip68 mean? The Samsung Gear S2 /Gear S2 Classic devices have all been certified to an IP68 Rating which means that these devices are protected against water ingress to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes, as well as protected against dust ingress.

• No, it's water resistant, not waterproof. I was told none of them are fully waterproof.

• Yes. You can take it for swimming laps. I would not suggest diving deeper that 6 feet though. Check the rating for its water resistances.
