What is the range for the bluetooth connectivity? Meaning i sit my phone down on my desk and go into another room thats 50 ft away. Will they still work? Basically is the connection strong for music and especially if im on a call? null

The accepted range for Bluetooth is 30ft. I haven't tested these but I would assume a similar range to the accepted standard.

That is a bit too far for indoor range, it is about that for outdoors.

I have had 5 pairs starting with the original design and the rand gets smaller with each revamp i can go mabey 25 or 30 feet with mine

Yes they will. I live in a very old house. So my walks are plaster and the house is about 2000ft. And I can go to the kitchen without the case. 
Yuoiu can also download music directly to the case and never have to use your phone for music. So you can leave your phone in the car while at the gym an they will work. The battery will also last loknger using the case which is a mp3 player
