This is apparently normal. I just don't close the case all the way. This disengages the buds from the contacts which allows the phones to sleep if not in use but it doesn't drain the case battery. The buds charge faster than the case. A bit of an inconvenience until Samsung fixes this.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Happens to me, I'll leave them in the case and see fully charged and the lights will go out and when I go to pull them out, completely dead. So you're not the only one. It sure if their is a fix since I bet that's how their designed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Disconnect the headphones from the extra battery pack when not in use. I just use the battery pack to charge the headphones until full, and then didconnect them. Otherwise the battery and the headphones will discharge totally. The headphones seem to keep a charge for quite a while if the battery and headphones are not connected.
