i have been super extrea carfull to not find out with mines. but i have had a few times i thought for sure i had scratched it and to my surprise it was fine. one time i knocked it against a mettle corner at work and pretty hard. cant believe it took that blow and still looks like new. may have been luck. i have also many times tapped it against things like my work desk or a wall or brushed it against my keys in my pocket and its still ok. no scratches yet.

I am sure you could scratch it, but in my experience it's pretty tough. We are talking about a watch though. I have inflicted much worse than a scratch on a watch before, smart and otherwise.
