• AFAIK, you can make calls, but I have the Classic and you need a BT link to your phone. Side point, sometimes it would spontaneously switch the speaker from the phone to the watch via BT. I had to turn off the Phone Audio on the BT for the watch on the phone. In sum, just easier to make calls on the phone itself.

• YES!! You can make and receive calls...they put the speaker back in...thank goodness...never should have taken it out of the S2

• Neither the S2 or S3 allow you to make or receiver phone calls. They both receive texts and emails from the phone they are paired to (bluetooth).
