You can make calls as long as it is in range of your paired smartphone.

AFAIK, you can make calls, but I have the Classic and you need a BT link to your phone. Side point, sometimes it would spontaneously switch the speaker from the phone to the watch via BT. I had to turn off the Phone Audio on the BT for the watch on the phone. In sum, just easier to make calls on the phone itself.

YES!! You can make and receive calls...they put the speaker back in...thank goodness...never should have taken it out of the S2

Yes, you can make/receive calls from S3.

Neither the S2 or S3 allow you to make or receiver phone calls. They both receive texts and emails from the phone they are paired to (bluetooth).
