While its not completely impossible, if your plan is to connect to T-Mobile, then you should just get the T-Mobile version (SM-R765T). The hassle and work required to unlock it are enough that buying the AT&T version isn't justified. My primary phone and number share device was an iPhone, but the "host" phone for the watch was a Verizon-based Galaxy Note 4. Never had an issue, it all worked seamlessly despite crossing networks.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe that the carrier for your phone matters at all. The Bluetooth feature should pair with any other BT enabled device. Now if you want to have cell service directly on the watch you would have to get the watch specific to your service carrier. I.E. there is a watch the is made for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
