The S3 has a virtual sim, built in, I think you just have to set up the line only for the watch. Your phones line doesn't really play a role, think of it as a separate device, that's how they see it, it's the same as a tablet to them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The sim in the watch is called an Esim. It is built in permanently into the watch. I don't believe you can add it to a prepaid plan but it really comes down to how much the person your talking to at the store want to help you because it is technically possible to add it but they usually want you to pay extra for the lte service so you will be hard pressed to find someone that would add it for you. You could just buy the Bluetooth version to connect to your phone but you couldn't use it by itself obviously with LTE.
