A:Answer No. I repeat NO phone can be used while inside a case! I have an S7 that I have to take the case off of to use. The reason is the adapters plug into the phone charging port and are spring loaded to hold it down to keep out light. The adapter side moves to fit the shorter S7 or 8, and back to fit the longer pluses!
Also, I beleive the Note is too long to fit the Gear hesdset. The headset has snaplock tab on the other side to hold the phone tightly in place, so an S8 or 9 PLUS is probably the longest phone it will hold. That said, the box or the website should list all compatible phones to make sure
