Best buy doesn't directly unlock smartphones, you'll have to do the through the carrier.

Best Buy sells unlocked cell phones. Typically the unlock code is provided by the carrier it is locked to, once any contractual obligations are met. For AT&T and T Mobile, it is an online application to receive the code. Not sure for the other carriers. There are companies that will sell you the unlock code for a fee as well as some local tech/repair shops that will do it for a fee.
