So I got this tablet for 129.99 refurbished, after close inspection I noticed that the slot that holds the SD card doesn't close perfectly. But when you put it in a case you can't even notice. So I assumed that someone paid 300.00 saw that and returned the tablet and it was sold as refurbished. So to answer your question I really don't know why it's refurbished, but if you can get it for 150.00 or less I would jump on it.
