I just put the sound bar on a shelf not mounted a wall. However that position with the text facing up is the correct position for the soundbar. If it was mounted to where the brand is facing outward, you wouldn't be able to see the volume number as that display is on the side without the brand name on it. They mounted it in the correct position, basically if you are directly in front of it you are looking down onto the brand name and access to the power and volume controls in the center. Trust me that is the correct position and when you watch a blue ray disc that has Dolby 7.1 you will hear that it is in the correct position because the sound will blow you away.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the sound mode indicator on the sound bar is facing forward, then the installation is correct. You have speakers facing forward as well as the ones facing upward which are what drive the Atmos effect when available. If you bought the package with the rear speakers, you will also see upward facing speakers on those as well for the same reason.
