Yes, it is VR capable. It is compatible with SteamVR games as well. If you have Oculus games (from owning a Rift) you can also use Revive 2.x beta (a free open-source program from GitHub) to allow you to play almost all Oculus (even Oculus exclusive) games as well. Played Robo Recall with the Odyssey HMD and the images and comfort of the headset were far superior to my Oculus Rift.
