“Does this setup have to be by the tv or can I set it up behind sitting area or throughout the room?”

• I do not know if it will work well behind the television. I installed in front of the TV...... and that is working well. I imagine that behind the television the sound will not be good.... but I did not try that.

• Hi There zrod14, The HW-B450 Soundbar has the ability to connect to devices with Bluetooth. Make sure there isn't any walls, metal furniture or Wi-Fi routers between the Soundbar and device it is connecting to as this might cause connection issues. ^Andrew

• It does work with Bluetooth so if it is within range then yes
