Hi there, The HW-B450 Soundbar cannot connect to a DVD Player, you will need to connect your player to a TV. Then you will use either Bluetooth or Digital Optical to connect your soundbar to the TV. We do recommend using Digital Optical as this will offer the best audio and user experience available for the soundbar. ~Samsung Solutions
