• No Sam... this woofer is FRONT firing with a rear port (so don't place it too near a wall or curtains).

• Hi Dennis, The HW-B550 Soundbar has a side firing wireless Subwoofer. It is not designed to be placed on it's side. ~Samsung Solutions
