Hi Happy, For the HW-B650 Soundbar I would recommend trying a few different places in your room and then sticking with what you like the best. Each room will have different acoustics and shapes which can change where you would place the subwoofer. As for the difference in the Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, the new SWA-9200S kit does not have a central transmitter that needs to have the speakers connected to. You will connect each speaker together with the provided speaker cable and then only use one power cord for both speakers. ^Andrew
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've tried it in several locations in my room and it sounds best when it is near the sound bar and aiming at the user. Normally I would put a sub in the back of the room behind the listeners, but with this unit in that configuration the sound from the sound bar was harsh and all treble, and the bass was overpowering. Putting the sub on the floor directly beneath the sound bar in front of the room combined the bass with the highs and made the sound quality much better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the theory is it doesn't matter but what works for your room
