• I have it right above the tv and it's great but I never thought behind the couch I bet it's much better. Must try that out

• Hi busman65, If possible it is better to place it closer to where you sit as you will hear more bass and low end. Try not to place the subwoofer against the wall or furniture as this can cause issues with ratting against the wall or interference. ~Samsung Solutions
