“Hi! Will a source connected by Optical cause the soundbar to auto power-on when it starts playing? I'd like to connect a Chromecast Audio dongle via Optical and I hope that streaming music to it will make the soundbar power on. Thanks!”

Hi John! Yes, Samsung soundbars will automatically turn on when detecting an audio signal from either HDMI, digital optical, or Bluetooth sources. ^Tim
