This has more to do with your room than the device. True surround sound has multiple speakers coming from all directions. So the way a soundbar try's to achieve this is buy projecting the sounds in different directions to bounce off of walls. If there is to much distance to a wall or you have angles you are not going to get what is as advertised, it's just not possible. I have 20 foot ceilings and there is no way I'm going to get an "atmos effect" from this product and I went into this product fully knowing that.
