Hi Ernie! You can certainly connect the soundbar to your TV via Bluetooth, however, for the best audio quality and user experience we suggest using the included HDMI cable. This will provide the best audio quality without delay or lip sync issues, you will also be able to use the TV remote to adjust the volume of the soundbar, rather than needing to use both remotes. ^Tim
