Hi rmo! The HW-Q600A can connect to a TV through digital optical audio, HDMI, or Bluetooth wireless audio. If your TV supports digital optical audio or Bluetooth wireless audio you can utilize one of those two connections to allow all of your TV audio to play through the soundbar. If your TV does not support HDMI ARC, you can still connect the soundbar to the TV via HDMI. Connect your HDMI compatible cable box to the soundbar's HDMI input, then connect the HDMI cable included with the soundbar from the soundbar's HDMI output to one of the two HDMI Inputs on your TV. Then, change the source on the soundbar to HDMI. This will allow the audio from your cable box to play through your soundbar, and the video to pass through the soundbar to the TV. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your tv has the digital optic in the back, yes it will. If not, it won’t. You’ll need arc or the digital port in the back. This setup does not come with one so you’ll need to buy the digital optic chord if that’s your plan. This soundbar is PERFECT btw. I bought 5 different sound bars just see the difference and this one is easily the best if you don’t plan on spending 1.5K On a Sony one. Personally, with your tv being so old, I would upgrade your tv to something a little newer and get this soundbar. It’s the most cost effective option.
